How does Birdie Booking actually work?

You set a target once: the course, the date, your ideal tee time and the earliest and latest times you would still accept. Birdie tracks when that course releases the day you want and submits your booking the moment the sheet opens. You do not need to be awake or online. We confirm the result to you either way — booked or not.

Does a booking request guarantee a tee time?

Accepted Answer

No. A booking request is an instruction to try, not a promise of a reservation. Tee sheets are finite and competitive, and a course can change its release time, its rules or its availability without warning. Treat a tee time as yours only once Birdie or the course confirms the reservation completed.

Question 3

What if the tee sheet for my date is already open?

Accepted Answer

Birdie will tell you when the date you picked already falls inside the course’s advance booking window, which usually means the tee sheet has been released and you could book it directly right now. It is a heads-up, not a block. If you still want Birdie to place the booking for you, go ahead and submit it.

Question 4

Do I need to verify my email before booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Bookings stay disabled until your email address is verified, and a banner sits at the top of the site until it is. Verification protects both your account and the club accounts we book against.

Do you store my golf club login?

Accepted Answer

Yes, when you choose to connect a club account. Some courses require you to be signed in before a reservation can be made, so we store those credentials in order to authenticate and book on your behalf. They are treated as sensitive: we never use them for advertising or analytics, and our analytics layer blocks credentials, passwords and email addresses from ever being sent. They are shared only with the course whose booking you asked us to make. You can remove a stored connection from your account at any time.

Do I have to connect a club account?

Only for courses that require a login to book. Where a course allows it, Birdie books without one. When a course does need an account, connect it once and Birdie reuses that connection for future bookings at that club rather than asking you again each time.

Why did my booking fail?

Accepted Answer

Every failed booking shows the specific reason on its confirmation page. The usual ones are: Club login failed — we could not sign in to your club account. Check the login saved on your profile and schedule a new booking. No tee times available — nothing was open inside your selected window. Widening the range or picking another date usually helps. Credit card required — the club needs a card on file before it will hold that time. Add one to your club account, then rebook. Temporary connection problem — a short-lived network or club-site issue. Scheduling a new booking normally clears it. Something went wrong on our side — we are notified automatically and will look into it.

How do I cancel?

It depends on whether Birdie has already secured the tee time, and the difference matters. Before it books — cancel the scheduled booking in Birdie and we stop trying. Nothing else to do. After it books — the reservation now exists with the golf course, and you must cancel it with the course directly. Birdie cannot cancel a reservation on your behalf. Cancelling your subscription, deleting your account or cancelling a different booking does not cancel a tee time that has already been reserved. The course’s own cancellation deadlines and no-show charges apply.

I booked a tee time myself. Will Birdie book another one?

Yes, if the request is still active. Booking elsewhere does not tell Birdie to stop, so cancel the scheduled booking if you no longer want it. If you end up with two reservations, cancel the one you will not use directly with the course.

Question 10

Why aren’t bookings unlimited?

Accepted Answer

Each plan sets how many bookings you can hold at once and how many you can make per month. The limits keep access fair across golfers and make the service harder to abuse. Your remaining allowance is shown at the top of your bookings page. If you keep hitting the ceiling, a higher plan lifts it.

Will you keep adding courses?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we add courses and booking platforms regularly. If the course you play is missing, tell us and we will look at supporting it.

Question 12

Do you work with private clubs?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Private clubs appear in the course list with a Private badge, and booking one requires your own member sign-in for that club — Birdie automates what you could already do by hand as a member, within your membership’s rules, and nothing more. We are not affiliated with any club. A member somewhere we don’t cover yet? Private clubs only come aboard when a member asks — their tee sheets aren’t visible from outside — so your request is what puts your club on the map.

I work at a golf course — what is this?

Birdie books a golfer’s own reservation on their own account, one tee time per request, inside the rules your course already sets. We hold nothing, resell nothing, and take no part of your green fee.
